The New Dodge Dart Is Coming!!! The new Dodge Dart has been released at the Detroit Auto Show as of January 9th. The Caliber replacement has been overdue, but the wait has been worth it. The new Dart will share its platform with its cousin the Alfa Romeo Giulietta from Europe. Some changes that have been made is that it will be longer and wider to provide north American customers with more interior room. The car has a super strong foundation with 68% made from high strength steel. The car will also feature a fully independent suspension and will even feature a 18" wheel and tire option that will enhance the driving dynamics of the car, the R/T trim buyers will be more then pleased. The new Dart shares many cues with its bigger brother the Dodge Charger from its Crosshair grille to the racetrack LED taillights.
There will be three different engine choices for the new car. There will be a brand new 2.0 Liter 16 valve engine or a 2.4 liter Tigershark 16 valve fitted with Fiat's advanced MultiAir technology. And there is even a turbo. The same 1.4 liter fitted in the Fiat 500 Abarth, pushing out 160 horsepower. There will be also three different transmission choices offered, a 6 speed manual transmission a six speed automatic or a 6 speed dual clutch automatic transmission.
